In particular, if you’re looking to become a professional instructor, this course will guide you along the right path to achieve this goal.

Academic Path:

The course takes place in a swimming pool and consists of both theoretical and practical parts. During the course, you will learn how to dive safely using a monofin, down to a maximum depth of -10 meters (32 ft.) and gain the necessary skills to handle any emergencies that may arise in the water, both for yourself and your adventure partner.

Equipment you will use:

To participate in the course, you must have the appropriate equipment, including a monofin and a mask. During the course, you will also have the opportunity to use other specific tools to improve your performance in the water.

Prerequisites:

To participate in the course, you must possess the Mermaid 1st Level Certification issued by the Underwater Academy. Alternatively, you can participate in the course by completing a crossover, which consists of a theoretical and practical review with a Mermaid Instructor by Underwater Academy at one of the selected and agreed-upon pools. Additionally, a good swimming ability and possession of a sports medical certificate are required.

Minimum age required: 16 years old.

Certification Issued:

At the end of the course, the Level 2 Mermaid Certification will be issued, allowing you to safely dive using a monofin down to a maximum depth of -10 meters (32 ft.). The certification attests that you have acquired the necessary skills to become a professional in the swimming and diving industry, and you can use this certification to access PRO courses that will guide you to become a professional instructor.
