Welcome to the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor course, an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills as a scuba diving instructor and provide your students with comprehensive training in emergency medical management. Organized at the Underwater Academy centers, this course is designed for those who wish to become accredited PADI Emergency First Response instructors.

Academic Path:

During the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor (EFR) course, you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to teach Emergency First Response and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques to adults, children, and infants. You will be trained in emergency first aid theory, including fundamental principles, emergency assessment, medical care priorities, airway management, and oxygen administration techniques. Additionally, you will learn proper CPR techniques for different age groups and acquire first aid skills, including managing bleeding, fractures, burns, head and neck injuries, as well as patient immobilization and handling techniques. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to practice your skills through realistic simulation scenarios, which will help develop your ability to make quick decisions and effectively manage emergency situations.

Equipment you will use:

During the course, you will have access to the necessary equipment to learn and practice Emergency First Response techniques. You will be provided with CPR manikins, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and all the instructional materials required for comprehensive and effective training.

Prerequisites required:

To participate in the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must already be a PADI instructor or have completed the PADI Instructor course. Additionally, a valid and recent First Aid certification is required, such as the PADI Emergency First Response course.
