Welcome to the PADI Rescue Diver certification course! This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a safer and more prepared diver in case of emergencies.

The PADI Rescue Diver course will teach you how to prevent and manage underwater problems. You will learn to recognize emergency situations, manage the stress of other divers, and become a more effective rescuer.

Academic Path:

The course consists of five knowledge development segments, covering topics such as anxiety management, rescue equipment, and accident prevention. At the end of each segment, you will be given an exam to test your understanding of the concepts learned.

Equipment You Will Use:

As described in the Standard and Procedures Guide, you will need to bring your own personal scuba equipment, as well as a first aid kit, oxygen unit, and a mask for artificial respiration. Depending on the needs, you may also use floats, stretchers, and CPR mannequins.

Prerequisites:

To participate in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must be at least 12 years old and possess a PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver certification. If you are a diver between the ages of 12 and 14, you can earn the Junior Rescue Diver certification. Additionally, you must have completed the EFR® Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months prior to the course, but this training can also be completed during the Rescue Diver course.

Certification Issued:

Upon completion of the PADI Rescue Diver course, you will be certified as a Rescue Diver. This certification will allow you to access more challenging diving scenarios and be better prepared in case of underwater emergencies.
