The PADI Discover Scuba Diving course is an introductory experience to scuba diving that is ideal for those who want to try this activity without necessarily having to take a full course. Offered by PADI centers, the program provides the possibility to dive in a pool, from a beach, or from a boat, allowing participants to choose the option that is most convenient and closest to them.

Although it is not a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving offers an opportunity to try scuba diving and gain a basic understanding of what is necessary to explore the underwater world. The course does not require any previous diving experience, but participants must be at least 10 years old and in good physical condition.

Discover Scuba Diving can be experienced both close to home and on vacation, making it a flexible and accessible experience. Scuba diving offers a unique and captivating view of the marine environment, and the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course is a fantastic option for those who want to try this exciting activity without committing to a full certification course.

Academic Path:

The PADI Academic Path is a fantastic option for those who want to start exploring the underwater world without committing to a full certification course. With this path, you can acquire basic safety guidelines and the necessary skills to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional.

If you are interested in diving in open water, the academic path requires that you practice some additional skills in shallow water to prepare you for your adventure. This way, you will be able to review the equipment you will use to dive and understand how easy it is to move underwater with it.

During the academic path, you will also have the opportunity to discover what it feels like to breathe underwater and learn the basic skills you will use during each dive. But not only that: you will also have fun swimming and exploring, discovering the beauty of the underwater world in a safe and responsible way.

Finally, the PADI Academic Path will provide you with more information on how to become a certified scuba diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course, allowing you to continue your learning and discovery of the underwater world in a structured and organized way.

The equipment you will use:

Our Underwater Academy is committed to providing our customers with the most complete and satisfying underwater experience possible. For this reason, we ensure that all our students have the necessary basic equipment for their dives.

In particular, our center will most likely provide you with all the basic equipment you will use, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, and a tank. This equipment is essential for safe and comfortable diving, and we make sure to use only high-quality equipment and regularly check and maintain it to ensure maximum safety.

In addition, our highly qualified staff will always be available to help you choose and use the equipment and to answer all your questions and concerns related to underwater diving. We are committed to providing an unforgettable underwater experience, but above all, a safe and responsible one for all our students.

Participants in the Discover Scuba Diving experience must use complete scuba gear in accordance with PADI standards.

Required standards:

Below are the required standards for PADI Discover Scuba Diving:

Minimum age: 10 years.
Participant prerequisites: Participants must be in good physical health and not have any medical conditions that may prevent them from diving safely.
Duration: The minimum duration of the Discover Scuba Diving experience is 2 hours.

Content: The Discover Scuba Diving experience includes a brief theoretical introduction to diving, a confined water training session (pool or shallow water), and an open water dive.

Open water dive: The open water dive must have a maximum depth of 12 meters (40 feet) and must not last more than 40 minutes.

Instructor-student ratio: The maximum instructor/student ratio is 1:4 in confined water and 1:2 in open water.

Certification issued:

The Discover Scuba Diving experience does not result in certification, but participants will receive a participation document.
