Before submitting your application
The Freediver Instructor Crossover by Underwater Academy is a selective professional program, reserved exclusively for already certified Freediver Instructors who wish to enter the PADI Freediving system.
This is not an entry-level course.
It is designed for instructors who are already teaching and want to take a concrete step forward in their professional career.
Essential requirements
You may apply if you:
- are a certified Freediver Instructor with another training agency
- hold active teaching status (or status that can be reactivated according to PADI standards)
- meet the prerequisites required by PADI
Applications that do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
How the process works

- We review your profile and requirements
- If your application is accepted, you will receive a second email requesting:
- personal documentation
- copies of certifications and instructor credentials, as required by PADI standards
