MV Karwela – Xatt l-Ahmar, Gozo (wreck with accessible decks and staircases)
The MV Karwela is one of the most iconic wreck dives in Gozo. Originally a German passenger ferry, it was intentionally scuttled in 2006 to create an artificial reef. Today, it stands out as one of the most scenic wrecks in the Mediterranean, thanks to its well-preserved structure, open decks, and spectacular internal staircases. Located off the coast of Xatt l-Ahmar, it is accessible from shore.
